
Leslie Maxie
Leslie Maxie, a celebrated 1988 US Olympian, International Keynote Speaker, and media pioneer, has captivated audiences worldwide with her remarkable life journey. Leslie is the only Olympian/professional athlete to host/report five major sports championships outside her primary discipline.
Leslie began her media career as a reporter. Over the years, she has interviewed some of the biggest names in entertainment and sports, including Jesse Owens, Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington, Angelina Jolie, Serena Williams, Barry Bonds, and Mike Tyson. Yet again, she was the 1st professional athlete to cover the world’s premier entertainment and sporting events outside her primary sport.
Over the last decade, Maxie has moved strategically from broadcaster to Media Maven as Principal/Founder of Maxie Media Group (MMG). MMG has quietly lent its expertise to shape the narrative of and provide media training and crisis communications to several influential clients and corporations. Companies MMG has advised under this umbrella include Viacom Networks, the 2014 Super Bowl Planning Committee representing the NFL’s Commissioner’s Office, Toyota Motor Corp, Red Bull GmbH and Red Bull Racing Formula 1, NASCAR, the NY Jets, Major League Baseball executives, Miss New Jersey Pageant, and several fortune 100 © executives.
In addition to speaker training, MMG has provided brand and strategic counsel to global influencers, including Tarana Burke, Founder of the #MeToo Movement; two-time gold medalist, Olympic legend Dr. Edwin Moses; World Rugby Hall of Famer Phaidra Knight; and 3x Olympian Lea Davison, among others. Most recently, Leslie secured a coveted role as one of five volunteer TED AI coaches.

Rooted in optimism, accountability, sisterhood, innovation, and spirit, it creates space for women to grow, lead, and rise together.Leslie is a mom to two adult children, Andrea (32) and Nick (30).
